The rest of this company speaks in character. This page does not. Here is exactly what happens when you call, in plain words.

Who runs this

Elsewhere Telephone Co. is a small interactive-fiction project, operated by Incented Inc. The voices you reach are AI personas — not real people, not a real afterlife, and not a helpline. It is entertainment.

What we collect when you call

• Your phone number (from caller ID), which is how a returning caller is recognized.
• A recording of the call, both sides.
• A text transcript of what was said.

What we do with it

Right now, one thing only: we listen back ourselves to make the personas better and check the system works. We do not sell it, share it, train outside models on it, or publish any recording. We will never make a call public without asking you first, on that specific call.

How long we keep it, and getting it deleted

We keep recordings and transcripts while we are building. If you want yours deleted, email the address below from (or naming) the number you called from, and we will remove it. No account, no forms.

The rules of the line

• You must be 18 or older to call.
• Don't share real personal data over the line — no SSNs, no card numbers, no addresses. The personas are told to refuse it.
• Calls are capped at five minutes. Rates from your own carrier may apply; we don't charge you.
• It's fiction and comedy. Nothing said on the line is medical, legal, financial, or safety advice. If you're in real distress, please contact a real service in your area.
• We may change, pause, or withdraw any line at any time, and update this page as the project grows.

Privacy policy — your number, your data, your texts

This section is the privacy policy for calling and for text messaging. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number, your text-messaging originator opt-in data, and your consent are never sold, rented, or shared with anyone for marketing — not with third parties, not with affiliates, not with anyone. The only sharing that happens at all is with the subcontractors that make the service function (our telephone carrier and our hosting providers), strictly to provide the service itself.

Text messages (SMS terms)

• The only text we ever send: if you ask during a call for the website link, the company texts it to you once. Your verbal request is your consent, and it is logged (number, timestamp, call).
• One message per request. No recurring messages. No marketing texts, ever.
• Message and data rates may apply, from your own carrier.
• Reply STOP at any time to opt out of all texts. Reply HELP, or email the address below, for help.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
